#35: In Praise of Pauses
There's this great Anne Lamott quote I've been seeing a lot online recently. It says:
“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.”
We tend to panic and strive when we want to figure or work something out, but progress starts to happen when we take the time to pause, calm down, and breathe.
This week, when you face something difficult—an uncomfortable conversation you need to have or a project you feel unqualified for—don't immediately dive into panic and problem-solving mode.
Pause, feel, and ground yourself first. You'll be in a better headspace to make wiser decisions from a place of calm security and inner strength.
