#36: Don’t Forget the Fine Print
Have you watched the documentary "Pepsi, Where's My Jet?" yet?
I'm on episode 2 right now, and I'm enjoying it. It's about Pepsi's TV ad promising (without any fine print whatsoever) to give away a Harrier Jet in exchange for 7,000,000 Pepsi Points.
It was a ridiculous offer, so Pepsi didn't think anyone would take it seriously. But one 21-year-old dreamer did.
I haven't seen the part detailing the trial yet, but there wouldn't have been any fiasco if somebody just remembered to add a simple fine print before airing the commercial.
