44: You Have One Life

Lengthy talks about reincarnation aside, we only have one chance to live this very version of our lives.

I'd like to think no one—not even God—expects us to live faultlessly. To never make mistakes. To be blameless. So I hope we don't spend our whole lives beating ourselves up over the past, loathing ourselves for falling short or living with self-hate and unhappiness for far too long.

Self-flagellation isn't the way. Learning and doing better next time is.
