#57: How to Rise From Rock Bottom
Once in a while, we find ourselves hitting rock bottom.
We only have three obvious options when it happens:
1. To sulk and stay there forever, blaming the world and everyone around us for our fate and engaging with unhealthy coping mechanisms to express our anger and frustration. This can further sabotage our chances of getting out and may cause us to hurt or push the people we love away.
2. To accept it passively or numb oneself to escape the difficult emotions that come with the territory—like we have no control over everything that happens to us.
3. To rise up to the challenge and grow, using pain and heartache to transform ourselves first before even fussing over how to fix the external situation.
Which will you choose?
