#67: The Kind of Friend We All Need
Friends is one of my go-to sitcoms when I'm having a rough day.
In one episode, Ross challenged Rachel to overcome her fear of park swings (specifically the fear of getting her hair tangled with the chains as she did back when she was four years old). Rachel took on the challenge but only after Ross agreed to face his fear of spiders by holding one.
While the scene was made to look silly and funny, I realized how important it is to have relationships that push you to face and overcome your fears. These people will help you grow into a braver person and dare you to go after the life you want. We all could use a bit of tough love sometimes.
